The Division for Communication, Language, and Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DCD) is the official division of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) that serves professionals interested in the education of children with special communication needs. The primary mission of DCD is to promote the welfare, development, and education of infants, toddlers, children and youth with special communication, language, and learning needs. In addition, DCD seeks to support professional development of service providers and foster the growth in families as they strive to better understand the educational, communication, language, and social/emotional needs of children.
The Florida Division on Career Development and Transition (FL-DCDT) is a state division of the International Division on Career Development and Transition (DCDT), affiliated with the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) whose members are dedicated to shaping policies and practices that impact the quality of career development and transition services of youth with exceptionalities in the state of Florida.
